Blast it all, it's only Thursday. We want Saturday. The three year-old expressed this at breakfast. "Papa no work. Papa no bye-bye. Papa stay." Yet, it's still just Thursday.
As the kiddo watches the fabulous Rescuers Down Under, I was thinking
how, as a child, it introduced me to a continent. It lead to thoughts
of how media shapes our impressions of place and settings. What do I
know about from Australia is kind of a mix of Crocodile Dundee and
Finding Nemo with a little Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman thrown in.
