Inspiration from O

Inspiration from Oods

The Doctor meets all kinds of things and people. I love aliens and sci-fi and the makeup and special effects and creatures and beasties! One of the most paradoxical people, to me, are the Oods. In one episode, they're creeping me out. In another, they're the poor slaves with the beautiful song. I love it that Donna is in the Planet of the Oods episode. Love her. Ood is just fun to say too. Lots of O's in this post ;).

Have you read or written any characters that just can't decide what side they are on? Do they switch sides? Are they misunderstood? Or turn by brainwashing or something?

  1. A character in my WIP was good/bad/good/bad and I didn't know which he'd end up until nearly the last chapter. I'm trying to visit all the A-Z Challenge Blogs this month. My alphabet is at myqualityday.blogspot.com

  2. I love characters that are two sided, they are way funner than most :) (and yes, I know funner is not a word.)

    1. Like Professor Snape? I think I'm a bit to naive to write a really complicated tswo-sided character though!

  3. Funner? Of course it's a word. I like the Oods too. Is it a plural? I thought more than one was still ood? The ood are good. They put me in a good mood the ood. Indood they do. That's a real word too. Honest.

If you fancy swinging by my nook, I'm leaving you my A-Z link as blogger always identifies me as my shared blog with other poets - my A-Z is this one: http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com

  4. The Oods were so weird, but I found myself pitying them. I loved the part where they were with the 10th Doctor before he died... :(

  5. I'm not sure I could pull it off myself, but it's fun to be wrong-footed when I'm watching/reading something.

I loved Donna as a companion - she was the only one who has ever brought a suitcase, which is what I'd do if the Dr told me we were going on a trip!

    1. At first, we thought Donna was going to be really annoying - but in the end, she's my favorite!

  6. I don't have enough creativity to write Sci-Fi. I admire those who have a more active imagination than I do!
